Ingredients

Macaroni
16 Ounces
Milk
2 Cups
Butter
2 Tablespoons
Salt
1/2 Teaspoon
Black Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon
Red Pepper, crushed
1/2 Teaspoon
Cheddar Cheese, shredded
3 Cups
Breadcrumbs

Steps

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and cook, whisking constantly 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in salt, black pepper, red pepper, 2 cups shredded cheese, and cooked pasta. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Spoon mixture into lightly greased 2-quart baking dish and top with remaining 1 cup cheese and breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake at 400F for 30 minutes.
  7. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
